Promises of the new year
This new year’s eve
Let’s make a promise
A lot of memories we’ll weave
Of just you, me and us
My heart still does heave
Over your conduct so bias
But I swear I won’t grieve
Nor will be I jealous
I won’t wear my heart up the sleeve
Or there’ll be crisis
Why I’m so naive
Of approaches so malice
I assure you cannot conceive
Through this high walls of my palace
Your existence matters, don’t leave
We’ll talk about gods and goddess
I’ll make you believe
In the magic of cosmos and comets
Just don’t deceive
My trust so pious
Nothing will change, I perceive
It’s still the same world, so callous
